The single has the distinction of being the best selling record ever for Atlantic Records company. I had not heard it for a very long time until I heard it tonight at Helvetia Tavern where we held daring daughter's going away dinner. She only had a few french fries on account of her friends stuffed her with homemade pumpkin pie this afternoon. Did she share bring any pie home for Pops? No, or course not. She seems to think I don't need any pie. I would beg to differ.
