In 1993 a consortium of agri-businesses sent a group of 100 farmers from the American Midwest to the Ukraine to teach modern farming techniques to Ukrainian farmers. Weston Thompson, the author of this book, was one of these farmers. He is from Rockwell City, Iowa, my wife's hometown, which is how we ended up with a copy.
