The MiG-15 first flew in 1949. It gave us trouble during the Korean War and again during the Vietnam War. North Korea, that hotbed of tried and true technology, still employs them as training aircraft. The commies built more than 18,000 of them.

Rode past that airfield on a motorcycle tour a couple of years ago.
Saw no MiG-15 there, but lots of MiG-21 Fishbeds.
