I saw those darker colored blobs, but I couldn't figure out what they were. I suppose they could be fingers. That would mean that frog is only big, not gigundous. Something funny going on here.
Could be perspective, but there's nothing else besides the "fingers" to clue you in. No other distortion or anything out of focus. Maybe it was just a lucky shot.
Old game photography trick. Wide angle lens and put the hunter some distance behind the dead deer. Let the wide-angle lens and forced perspective do the rest.
He's standing there and thrusting the toad at the camera. Crank the aperture down small to give a good depth of field, and Bob's yer uncle.
I don't know if my 18-135 will do the trick, but if I can get my roommate's help, I'll try and get you some pictures of my four-foot long housecat... :D

Sorry to say, it's real! Those are not his fingers. They only find these every once in a blue moon...
