Boston Dynamics Wildcat

They're getting better at building walking machines. This one can run 16 MPH on level ground. It's running, but it doesn't look very graceful. I'm not quite sure why that is. Perhaps because of the big body and the relatively short legs. And doesn't the chain saw engine just reek of high tech? It's still a pretty good trick.      Back in 2008 they had another four legged walking machine that was supposed to function as a pack animal. I posted a link to it in the sidebar a long time ago.
