Bug
In software development there are sometimes debates about whether the way a program works is incorrect, and is therefor a symptom of a bug, or whether that is the way it is supposed to work and is therefor a feature. Via Byron the Glider Man.
The term "Bug in Program" was created by Grace Hopper (q.v) of COBOL fame, who found a real bug trapped in one of the relays of an early relay computer. She extracted the bug with tweezers and pasted it into the run-log book as evidence. The term has stuck with us ever since :-)
Ha! Somebody was thinking. :)
