The Byrds - Turn! Turn! Turn!

The Byrds - Turn! Turn! Turn!
Hardfolk

Turn! Turn! Turn! was written by Pete Seeger in the late 1950s. The lyrics – except for the title, which is repeated throughout the song, and the final two lines – consist of the first eight verses of the third chapter of the biblical Book of Ecclesiastes. The song became an international hit in late 1965 when it was adapted by the American folk rock group The Byrds.

We're here because JMSmith put up another post, this one titled Hatred is the Sociable and Political Emotion. He starts off with these two quotes and then goes on from there.
“Let us say that a ‘people’ is an assembled multitude . . . bound together by a common agreement as to the objects of their love.”
St. Augustine, The City of God (A.D. 426)

“In politics . . . a community of hatred is almost always the foundation of friendships.”
Alexis de Tocqueville, Recollections (1896)
Sad to say, but hate speech is what binds us together.
