These two guys are writers, except William Golding passed away, so he's not writing any more. Erick is still alive and still writing, as far as I know.

There is a meme out on the internet that combines quotes from these two guys, but it generally gets attributed to (or blamed on, depending on your point of view) William. Erick is ignored (or escapes blame, as before).

The combined quotes:

I think women are foolish to pretend they are equal to men, they are far superior and always have been. Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater. The first two sentences in the quote are from William, the rest is from Erick.

William is kind of famous, he wrote Lord of the Flies, won a Nobel Prize and was knighted. Erick has written several books and has achieved a modicum of success.

I don't know if women are superior to men, it's like comparing apples and oranges. Men and women can be great or terrible depending on their situation and disposition. For the combined quote to be valid, you need a good situation and tolerable dispositions. I still like it.
