There are some interesting reasons US tanks still use four-man crews and not autoloaders.
There's a lot of unsexy stuff that people forget that is involved with tank warfare, from maintenance to re-mounting a thrown track, to things as simple as standing watch, that are a lot easier when divided four ways rather than three.
Also very few autoloaders are as fast as the strong right arm of an eighteen-year-old, especially when the autoloading system requires the gun to return to some pre-set elevation and/or azimuth between shots.
