Imagine me showing you a photo snapped out the window just now showing snow blowing around after yesterday afternoon’s sunny seventy degrees and captioning it “What fresh hell is this?”
That’ll save me the effort of walking over to the window.

For some reason, I always picture Indianapolis in sunlight. Maybe I've never seen a picture of it at night. Now for something completely different:

| 1950 Mercury Custom |
I'm kinda partial to early 50's Mercurys. I suspect this one is from Indiana. It showed up at a car show there in 2020. There's another photo on this page, about 5/6 of the way to the end (it's a long page). From the same show. Custom car builders are nuts. Can you imagine the amount of work that goes into chopping the top? The pillars and doors have to be cut, bent, welded and smoothed into their new positions. The window glass has to be cut down, and the trim and the weatherstripping has to all be customized to fit. I suppose if you are familiar with the work it wouldn't take you too long, no more than a month or so, but it's going to require a multitude of skills.

Broad Ripple, Part 2
![]() |
| Yesterday's Jumble |
Dan Wakefield was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, where his family lived in the Broad Ripple Village area.I had never heard of Mr. Wakefield before and the solution was fairly simple, looking him up didn't help. I can only surmise the Jumble writers were giving him a plug for their own reasons.

Broad Ripple
| Midtown area of Indianapolis, Indiana |
Indiana Thomas has an announcement about Indy Midtown Magazine:
At long last am getting the magazine's site prepared for 2/1/16 soft launch. Still a bunch of content to upload from the archives as well as current material that needs to be prepared but I felt there's enough that I can share the link.Kinda weird that I know more denizens of the net with an attachment to Broad Ripple than I do here in Silicon Forest.
Would welcome feedback on look and feel as well as how it loads, any busted links, etc.
I used a great template from MH Themes,
Couldn't have done it w/o help from WhiteHot Marketing.
