Just an entertaining video. It's a sequence of short clips of the operations that went into making a ring, operations that probably took the better part of a week if he was being diligent about it.
I do not understand how the jaws are held in the chuck. If looks like he just sets them in their slots, but then they are held firmly enough that he can cut them with the lathe. (4:10).
