I pay all my taxes, I wish everybody did.
That would be a big help.
But bleeding the IRS of the ability to collect what's due and buying congress critters to write laws to prevent them from implementing a fair tax system, is screwing everyone else.
The federal deficit means paying interest. Who is collecting that interest?
I suspect the people who paid the congress critters so they would pay less tax, take the ill gotten gains along with the taxes they didn't pay by hobbling the IRS ability to catch them, and lend it to the government via the federal reserve, to earn even more collecting interest.
