Apple Pie

We are stuck on a desert island. Outside, someone is attacking us with cream pies covered with whipped cream. Inside, 'mom' is serving us slices of fruit pie, also with whipped cream. One person grabs their slice of pie and runs outside to join the fray. The rest of us sit quietly at the table and contemplate our slices of pie. I have a slice of apple pie. The person across the table from me has a slice of cherry pie and the person next to them has a slice of peach pie. There is an urge to go join the fray, but none of us move. We stay and gaze and at our slices of pie.

Back in the real world, my better half went to Costco yesterday and found they were out of paper towels and whipped cream.
