New Zealand Air Force rescues US researchers from Antarctica amid extreme cold, darkness by Chris Williams
Middle of winter, pitch black, no alternate landing strips. Should be a piece of cake, right? I mean, we've got all the latest technology, all the right gear, plenty of experience, it should be no problem. Well, if you are confident and not afeered of the dark, or the cold, you'll probably be fine. Who am I kidding? Risky as fuck. You'd need some stones to sign up for this.
