Very tired yesterday afternoon, I was able to watch this straight through. Boy, did it bring back old memories. I hope he didn't have to pay more than a buck-and-a-half for this car, and by a buck-and-a-half I mean spare change, which these days is probably something like $500. I do wonder about the gas tank. I suppose the leak could have been up top, so if you didn't fill the tank more than half way, he would have been fine. Really didn't like the rag for a gas cap, but this was a shoo-string operation. I'm thinking he probably didn't spend more than a couple hundred bucks on this project. Except for gas, gas to drive to Minnesota was likely his biggest expense.
