Wooden replica of an FN SCAR (Special Operations Forces Combat Assault Rifle) by Jenni Edwards, a UK artist.
What kind of woman makes wooden replicas of firearms? Someone very unusual, that's for sure. I'd like to meet her. She cannot sell her creations in the United Kingdom because the law prohibits the sale of replica guns. That is just weird as stink.
Probably made perfect sense to the people who made the rule. Wouldn't want any kids to get shot by the police for pointing their wooden guns at the coppers. Yes, yes, a wooden gun would not be a threat, but kids being kids they would want it to be as realistic as possible, so they would no doubt paint it black, and something like this, painted black could be very scary looking, especially in the hands of a drug crazed teen-ager at a distance in a low light situation. Never mind that that would be a stupid thing to do. The nanny state is all about protecting us from our own stupid selves. Via The Firearms Blog.
