I'm reading A Gentleman in Moscow, a novel by Amor Towles, and on page 412 Khrushev is hosting a dinner party on the eleventh of June 1954, at the Metropol Hotel where Minister Malyshev demonstrates that the Death Star, er, the Obninsk Nuclear Power Plant is now fully operational and is producing power for half of Moscow. The power plant is 60 miles southwest of Moscow.
