Chung Ling Soo

I'm reading Dandelion Wine and the boys go visit Colonel Freeleigh who tells them about Ching Ling Soo, Boston 1910, and how he died on stage when his catch-the-bullet-in-his-teeth trick misfired. So I wonder if this was just an invention of Mr. Bradbury, or did it really happen? It did, as Wikipedia explains.
