• The word "mogura" (土竜) is the Japanese word for "mole".
• Based on real events, narcotics officer Shokichi Izanagi goes undercover to infiltrate a group of hip-hop artists suspected of drug trafficking.

There is as least one other show about the same real-life events.

The pacing is a little different from what we get in a top-shelf crime thriller, it has some pauses and awkward moments, but it moves along. Our hero is a 30 year old cop who's gotten in trouble with the higher ups, so he has been shuffled off to narcotics enforcement. While his new, female boss seems to be a straight arrow, it turns our she is in cahoots with the mayor and who is a class A sleazeball. In public he is proclaiming his war of drugs while in private he is the local drug kingpin.
