Titlus Glacier - High Altitude Construction

Forwarder mit Betonmischer im Baustelleneinsatz auf dem Titlis 🇨🇭⛰️ 3020
feruontour

If you've ever been to a ski resort, you may have wondered how in the world did they manage to build these huge concrete structures way up on a mountain that no normal vehicle could climb. This is how.

Google translation of the YouTube blurb:
John Deere 1210G forwarder in use on a construction site on the Titlis glacier in Switzerland at 3020 m above sea level.
Traction winch and bogie lift by Haas Maschinenbau.
Liebherr concrete mixer truck.

3000 meters is pretty close to 10,000 feet.

Titus Tower Location

Area shown is about 100 miles across. Lake Como, Italy, is in the lower right corner.

Google Maps 3D View of  Titus Tower

The Cliff Walk is at the base of the tower. The tower seems to be equal parts tourist attraction and base for communications antennae.
