It's not really a blimp anymore:
Beginning in 2014, Goodyear replaced its three U.S. blimps with three new semi-rigid airships; built by the Luftschiffbau Zeppelin company, each have a rigid internal frame. Although technically incorrect, Goodyear continues to use "blimp" in reference to these new semi-rigid models.

Ten miles out I contacted the tower to land. Tower advised the Goodyear blimp transiting the area.
I replied, Tally ho, target in sight.
Tower laughed and said maintain visual. An unknown voice said, Don't shoot, we're on the same side.
