Armadillo Aerospace launched this rocket just over a year ago, about four months after the amateur launch and about ten months before Felix stepped out of his capsule. This one went higher than both of those. The amateur rocket made it to 121,000 feet. Felix jumped from 124,000 feet. This rocket almost doubled that: 239,000 feet, or 45 miles. That's almost outer space.
