Artificial Intelligence - Intelligent or Stupid?

Two of my favorites posted about old computers today. The Silicon Graybeard included the above quote about Artificial Intelligence. I think it's spot on.

The first computer I learned to operate was a Univac 1500, later updated & called the AN/UYK-7. Then I moved way up to the Honeywell H6060 systems running GCOS (General Comprehensive Operating System) in '76. The installation was one if the biggest and sported 1024k of RAM. Just the A/C system to keep the whole thing cool probably cost more than my house.
