Paging through this morning's batch of memes from Midwest Chick and this one pops up and immediately this tune pops into my mind. Only one problem: I don't know the name of the tune, or who wrote it, or when it came out, but I can hear it in my head clear as day. So I go looking for it, and looking, and looking and I am not finding anything . . . until on page four of Google's response to the prompt 'rock song lyrics include 'let the truth be told' -"Matthew West"' I come across a link to an old post from Peter Bengtsson's blog archive: Find song by lyrics which finally got me to where I wanted to be:

There are a bunch of songs out there with the title of 'Off The Ground' or 'Truth Be Told' which might explain why I had a hard time tracking this song down.
