The reason the recent Presidental election was so close (like less than one zillionth of a percent) is that both parties understand advertising and propaganda. I like to think that Trump won because there are more people with brains than there are brain dead democrats, but maybe not, maybe it was just a matter of which party did a better job of feeling the pulse of the country and successfully directed their advertising campaign to reach more people. In other words, maybe it was just blind luck that led to Trump winning.

During the run up to the election there were certain words bandied about.
Economy:
To bankers, stock brokers, corporate types it means GDP, stock market and economic indicators. Democrats said the economy is good which was true.
To Joe & Jane Sixpack it’s the price of Fueling, fixing or replacing the car, the utility bills and the cost of groceries.
Republicans promised to bring those costs down which is bullshit but it resonated with Mr/Mrs Sixpack.
Inflation:
The rate at which prices are going up.
Dems said the inflation was going down which was true.
Joe & Jane think inflation going down means prices going down.
GOP lied inflation is not going down and Joe & Jane believed because they don’t know what the word means.
Abortion:
To Joe and Jane it’s murdering babies because a baby would be inconvenient to a low-life promiscuous slut. But talk to doctors and there are thousands of legitimate reasons to perform dozens of procedures the lawmakers have grouped into one description. It boggles my mind to force a woman to carry to term a kid the doctors are sure that will not be born alive or so severely screwed up won’t live more than a few hours. That is cruelty to the max.
Immigrants:
Foreign people coming to live in the US... like Elon Musk.
Bullshit like it’s all criminals and crazies, rapists and pet eaters, is political fear mongering.
Yes, the immigration system needs an overhaul and has for a long time. But that’s a job for congress not the military.
Trump, Musk, and their fellow Billionaires don’t give a rat’s patooty about Joe & Jane. Or anyone else their swarms of lawyers can pound into fertilizer.
We have the finest government money can buy... and has.
