I got this video from The Feral Irishman. While it's not about mining, mining is the main business if Yakutsk. I did another post about boats and mining in Siberia and I wondered if it's the same place. It's not, as you can see by this map:

The left most dots on the map are Dudinka & Norilsk, a nickel mining operation on the Yenisei River.
I tried using Google's create-a-map feature, but it uses Mercator Projection, which make Siberia look bigger than Africa. Siberia is big, but it ain't that big. So I used measure-the-distance on regular Google Map and took a screen shot.

The Wikipedia page mentioned the Yakutsk TV Tower, so I had to look it up and found this cool picture. The tower is nearly 800 feet tall.
