Hyperion

This is the Twin Creeks Technologies gigantic Hyperion machine.Near as I can tell it used for cutting silicon wafers into individual chips. Conventional methods use saws that turn a certain percentage of the wafer into silicon dust. This machine does it by shooting high-energy protons at the wafers which causes them to break.Their target market is the solar power industry, which is trying to compete with oil and so every few percentage points count. No often you get to peek behind the current of the great and powerful Oz.
