These wild speculations seemed less wild the next morning, when we woke to discover that our car had a flat tire. . . . A mischievous prank, no doubt. One might be forgiven for thinking that sowing doubt is one of their main functions.
Makes me glad I don't carry a cell phone. Of course, I don't go anywhere, so if they wanted me, I would be easy enough to find.
