Starring Toni Collette (who we have seen in The Sixth Sense and Knives Out) and Bella Heathcote (who we saw in The Man in the High Castle). It's a little goofy, nothing anyone does makes any sense. There's plenty of activity so you can kind of excuse the lack of clarity, but we're four episodes into it now and we have gotten some explanation, but there are still things happening that don't make any sense.
It's roughly similar to A History of Violence. You have a person leading a quiet, peaceful like in a little out-of-the-way burg, something happens that puts them in the news and now their age old enemy knows where they are. Now it gets complicated.
The show moves right along, not too much time spent gazing at someone or nothing. They keep giving us snippets of what happened umpteen years ago, but it's being revealed very slowly. We might have the whole story by the time we get to the end. I hope so.

I've read a few Karen Slaughter books-they're OOO-K.
She should learn a little of the subject she writes; seems to know jack about guns, for someone writing about a cop.
