#1 We are being told that the sections where the pipelines were damaged are “70-90 meters below sea level”. So someone would need to go down pretty deep to get to them.
90 meters? 300 feet? That may be too deep for your average SCUBA diver but it does not seem very deep for an everyday ROV. Doesn't every super-villain have an ROV?
Also, what about gravity? If you dropped a bomb off a ship, it would probably sink to 90 meters without too much difficulty. The trick would be to get away in time.
What am I missing? Does the author imagine this was done by kids in snorkel gear?
Cause damage that can be fixed in a week? What's the point?
