I think the first time I heard of Phil Spector was when he killed Lana Clarkson back in 2003. Since then his name has popped up on occasion, mostly because of his Wall of Sound method of producing hit records. There were a bunch. Be My Baby (above) was one of them. Ronnie Bennett is the lead singer (Ronnie and The Ronettes). She married Spector in 1968 and escaped from him in 1972. He pops up again today in a Variety review of mini-series about him. It's a nice short summary.
