THE SILENT SEA Official Trailer (2021) Netflix

Not a bad Korean science-fiction series (8 episodes) about a mission to the moon. It is set sometime in the future when water has become scarce on Earth. The Silent Sea refers to Mare Tranquillitatis also known as the Sea of Tranquility

It might be a horror show. Our team of a dozen intrepid explorers are sent to retrieve an unknown scientific sample from an abandoned research station on the moon, a station where the entire crew of 100 odd people died five years ago. We're two episodes in and already two crew members have died. At this rate we'll be down to the lone survivor at the end.

You can see there might be some kind of power struggle going on within the Korean government. The outfit that ran the research station is telling nobody nuttin', they just want the space force to go retrieve the sample, but the administrator in charge of the mission inserts her own gal into the mission. I suspect she does this because her gal is not a go-along to get-along type and might actually get some real information. I suspect this because the actress, Bae Doona, played a similar role in another series we watched, Stranger. Matter of fact, she's the reason I was able to get my wife to watch this show.
