This movie is a little odd in that it is a Japanese film about China. It's war story set sometime BC. Lots of fantasy sword fighting and lots of very harsh Japanese yelling. Not much of a story, and not very interesting characters. It's based on a manga, so what we have is a live action cartoon. I think the target audience is teenagers. The star is hot headed young idiot. Not my cup of tea. Wikipedia.
Curious tidbits: The mountain tribe wears masks reminiscent of natives from New Guinea. The bad guys have a giant on their side.
