"Taken" with Liam Neeson
A fine film. Went to see it last night with my wife. Lots of action, lots of taking out bad guys. None of this "don't do it George, don't lower yourself to their level", just good old fashioned punching, knifing and shooting. Much more satisfying than your typical cop drama where the heros restrain themselves.

I saw it and had a different opinion. I can't give a detailed analysis without giving away the plot, but the messages I got from the film are: the French, even trusted government officials, are treacherous, probably due to their liberal socialist ideas; Americans have to be deathly afraid of everything and everybody, because the whole world is out to get them; arabs are all filthy degenerates who need to be killed; women who divorce their husbands will marry idiots and suffer the dire consequences of their own foolishness; and no matter how paranoid or irrational they seem, parents are always right, and you disobey them at your own mortal peril.
But if you're an angry divorced xenophobic neocon male, it's the feel-good movie of the year!
I was going to say you are taking this way too seriously, but I can't stop laughing.
