Yesterday Night on the road in Twin Falls Idaho

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End (2007) Official Trailer #1 - Johnny Depp Movie HD

Flipping channels and this popped up on HBO. Blackhat (previous night) was on HBO as well. All the Showtime and Cinemax channels are blocked. Suppose HBO has a lock on the motel business? Or wait a minute, I think this one was on AMC. I remember because the sound was out of sync. The audio was leading the video by a good fraction of a second and I was thinking about getting on the net and letting them know their broadcast was screwed up, but that would have meant getting up off of the bed and I was too beat for that.
Anyway, the sound wasn't that important. I'd dialed in into the middle of the movie and so none of the dialog had any context, and the sound effects were all pretty generic, I mean sailing ships fighting a big battle in a storm, with monsters, who can tell if the sound is in sync or not? Anyway, there seemed to be some terrific special effects, some terrific lines, but the story was not as clear as it could have been. Pretty girl, though.
We saw the first one and it was pretty great. Saw the second one and it was, um, pretty great, I guess, but we haven't seen any of the others. Maybe that says something. Helen O'Hara has a great review of the movie.

Bonus: Keith Richards (!?!) as Captain Teague

P.S. They are plotting to release episode 5 of this series next year. If this kind of convoluted storytelling sells, it tells me that people are really bored with their lives and really need something to occupy their minds.
