Life imitates art. We've been watching a Korean TV series that revolves around a government contract for the next generation of jet fighters, and look what pops up this morning.
South Korea rolls out prototype of new KF-21 Boramae fighter jet by Min Cheol Gu
The airframe may be made in Korea, but according to Wikipedia, the engines are going to be either from Pratt & Whitney or General Electric. Building jet engines is still very hard.
