American Land Use

American Land Use

Cows rule! I suspect a lot of the land being called 'range' is more like desert, which according to the gray area at bottom of Texas is a tiny portion of the USA. I would be inclined to call the entire southwest quadrant of the USA desert.

I guess it has to be nothing edible for livestock growing to be desert, even if it takes 10 acres to feed one cow it's range. 2 million acres of Golf course and 3 million acres of airport made me pause.

Total BS.
Iowa as cow pasture? How about corn and soybeans.

It would be interesting to separate desert and wetlands but other than that, pretty cool.

Oh, and probably most of us understood that these areas are just ratios, not geographic representations.
