The Truth is Out There. Somewhere. Maybe.

This photo is from a series taken of an Iranian military exercise. When I first saw this photo of an explosion, I thought it was pretty impressive, but the more I look at it, the more convinced I am that it has been photoshopped. The orange color is a too vivid, and the smoke or haze hanging around the edges seems unlikely. And then it's from Islamic Republic of Iran, that bastion of truth and self promotion.

Yes, indeed. We all have a "truthometer" within, I imagine. Because one can immediately sense the distortion in the image. It FEELS/APPEARS/SEEMS to have been clumsily pasted onto the background.
In America, we are USED to GOOD DIGITAL IMAGERY. Which this clearly, is not. It is entirely unnecessary to point out,-but I will anyway, just to emphasize disdain- that for THIS incredibly tawdry photographic disappointment- NO CIGAR.
