The Rolleron! Amazing engineering! Aim-9 Sidewinder!

Looking for stuff about the Israeli Iron Dome C-RAM (Counter Rocket, Artillery & Mortar) system and not finding much other that the usual reports of how well it works, or doesn't. In other words, not too much technical information, which isn't surprising, other than they cost something like $30 or $40K each and they've been shooting them off by the zillions. But Google must be listening because this video popped up on YouTube and it's pretty cool. It seems like it's getting spun up to a ludicrous speed, but this rocket flies at Mach 2.5, and I'm pretty sure the air coming out of that nozzle is nowhere near that. It might be a couple hundred miles per hour if it's lucky.
Spicy has another video about the Sidewinder as does The Curious Droid. I haven't watched either one. Yet.

That whining sound is the tiny little bearing giving those boys a warning that it is NOT happy. It fell on deaf ears apparently so they were pretty lucky it did not fail during their filming because as tiny as it may be, a failure at that RPM had (guessing) about a 50/50 chance of being pretty spectacular. And not in a good way.
