Iridescent

Glamnetic Tweezers

This looks to me like these tweezers have either cadmium plating or a chromate coating, both of which can be iridescent. It also looks like the false color images you get from infrared cameras. In any case, I've seen this kind of thing on cheap metal parts, but I've never seen it used on tools. Leave it to the fashion industry to show us the way.

I was curious about the coating on the tweezers so went looking for a better picture and maybe more detail.
OMG, turns out they aren't tweezers, but false eyelash applicators to applicate false eyelashes which have a row of tiny magnets along the edge. First eyeliner containing iron oxide is painted on then the eyelashes are picked up and stuck on with the tweezers... oh sorry, the applicator, so no germs from your fingers get in your eyes.
Do women actually go through this? Never did find out about the coating. LoL
